population of the Charlotte North Carolina area, some young, some old; men,
women, and children (Gal. 3:28-29)

Our focus
|
Jesus is the center of our
lives, individual and congregational.
We endeavor to “live by the Spirit” (Gal. 5:25). Love of God and
humanity are our mandates from the Lord.
The Kingdom
of God is our passion (Mat. 6:33). Winning others is our goal.

Believe this: God loves
you so much that He sent His Son Jesus to live and die for you—even though He
knows you as you are!
Summary of Our Christian Faith
- There is one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- God the Father made all things through the Son,
sent the Son for our salvation, and gives us the Holy Spirit.
- The Son of God, Jesus Christ, our Lord and
Savior, was born of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully human, and is the
perfect revelation of the Father and the perfect representative of
humanity. He suffered and died on the cross for all human sin, was raised
bodily on the third day, and ascended to heaven. Standing in for all
humanity before the Father, Jesus Christ provides the perfect human
response to God. Since he died for all, all died in him, and all will be
made alive in him.
- The Holy Spirit brings sinners to repentance and
faith, assures believers of their forgiveness and acceptance as God’s
dearly loved children, and works in them to conform them to the image of
Jesus Christ.
- The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of
God that testifies to Jesus Christ. The Bible is fully authoritative for
all matters of faith and salvation.
- Salvation comes only by God’s grace and not by
works, and it is experienced through faith in Jesus Christ. Christians
respond to the joy of salvation when they gather in regular fellowship and
live godly lives in Jesus Christ.
- We look forward to the glorious return of Jesus,
the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the age to come.

Statement
Living and Sharing Jesus Christ
The Church
of the Living Waters is committed to live and share what God has done
through Jesus Christ.
To accomplish this mission, we seek to be:
- People who trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord by the grace of
God for our salvation and are renewed and transformed by the work of
Christ in our hearts so that we speak and live in a way that all around us
see Jesus in us
- A spiritual community bonded by love, sharing our different
cultures, caring for each other, encouraging each other’s spiritual
growth, and nurturing new members
Also, we seek to:
- Have a strong commitment to bringing youth to Christ, emphasizing
age-appropriate programs to target the specific Christian growth needs of
our younger members and supporting families
- Give positive encouragement to people who have left our fellowship
and are not involved in any Christian group to return or to join an active
Christian group
- Reach out to the community in which our congregation is planted by
annual outreach events, making friends, meeting needs, and making
disciples of Jesus
- Plant new congregations around the greater Charlotte area
